Zhong Hui: "I have never really thought about it. If anything, it was probably the special training I received."

Jiang Wei: "I see, so that's it. Where can I get this special training?"

Zhong Hui: "I think it is too late for you. I started when I was a child."

Jiang Wei: "No, it's never too late if you put in the effort. Please give me the details.

Zhong Hui: "Hah... One thing I never did learn was how to deal with stubborn people."

➡MEMORY: After convincing Zhuge Dan's men to surrender, Zhong Hui has a conversation with a man (Sima Zhao) on what to do with the war prisoners.

Zhong Hui: "We've seen everything the enemy's got, and we're still here. They don't have long to live now. It was over once Zhuge Dan proposed resistance. The troops simply didn't have the morale to keep on fighting."

Sima Zhao: "And increasing numbers of those troops are defecting as well."

Zhong Hui: "What are we supposed to do with them? I'd just as rather execute them and be done with it."

Sima Zhao: "No, we shall forgive them, if they are willing, then they are welcome to join our forces."

Zhong Hui: "Isn't that being a little too kind?"

Sima Zhao: "In fact, I think we are being quite cruel..."

Zhong Hui: "If I were in charge, I wouldn't be showing any compassion to prisoners of war."

Xiahou Ba: "If it isn't [redacted]? You came all the way here just to greet me?"

Zhong Hui: "You fled to Shu at the wrong time. You're not crawling back now."

Then after defeating Xiahou Ba, a cutscene plays. He sends some soldiers off and says this:

Zhong Hui: "Finish them! Grind them into the dust."

➡MEMORY: Learning about the Sima clan's intention to rebel against Cao Shuang.

Zhong Hui: "There's quite a hubbub outside... Perhaps it's finally happening... "

Private: "Lord Zhong Hui, terrible news! Master Sima Yi is leading an army towards the castle! Could this be treason...?"

Zhong Hui: "Hmph, this is hardly unexpected. If Cao Shuang's stupid enough to leave Luoyang unguarded at a time like this, then it was obvious the Sima would make their move."

Zhong Hui: "He was always a greedy fool who clung tenaciously to the mirages of rank and power. I knew it would only be a matter of time before he would meet his end."

Private: "The men within the castle do not know what to do. How should we respond, my lord?"

Zhong Hui: "If you want to still be in the same job tomorrow, I'd get ready for battle and follow me. Now that it's come to this, Cao Shuang's time is up."

Private: "O-Of course, my lord!"

Zhong Hui: "The Sima clan will now seize control of the kingdom. However, it is those such as myself ― the chosen people ― who are the most fit to rule."

Deng Ai: "I have been appointed as General Who Pacifies the West by the Wei emperor, Lord Cao Mao. We have just received word that Shu has invaded our territory once more. I intend to fulfill my duty as General by meeting their forces in battle at Duangu. I would very much appreciate any assistance you could provide, Master Sima Zhao, in this battle."

Sima Zhao: "I see... Unfortunately, the Emperor has charged me with the defense of Xuchang."

Zhuge Dan: "Then why not allow me to go in your stead? I will head for Luoyang, and provide assistance to Master Deng Ai from the rear."

Sima Zhao: "Hmm, I suppose so..."

Zhong Hui: "Master Zhuge Dan, with all due respect... Master Sima Zhao is who we are asking for. You lose your head at the slightest provocation, and with it the ability to make the simplest decision. It's hard to say whether you would be of any help at all."

► Zhong Hui: He's informed of his appearance ( light brown hair, gray eyes ) along with the fact that he apparently wanted to rebel against someone? The details of that are still unknown to him but Leon finds himself annoyed at how (even more) condescending his past self was like. Also went through some sort of special training.

► Jiang Wei: Leon is aware of his existence and appearance. He assumes that he might have been a friend. Is persistent in wanting to learn about his past life's secret training to which Leon assumes that his past self also found him irritating. Apparently, he was also the one who convinced his past self to rebel. ( x )
